Youth Camp 2009

July the 20th through the 24th was youth camp. We had a great time with the teens. There were 44 young people from five different churches represented. The theme of the camp was “Give my Thine Heart”. The camp director, David Lindsey, invited two preachers from the States to preach each day. We also had a professor from Spartan Medical University come each morning and teach on the heart and the similarities on the physical heart and the spiritual heart. The preaching line up could not have been better. I have posted a lot of pictures on my Face Book page, www.facebook.com/Rev.nathanbrock.
Five young people came forward during the services of the week to accept Christ as Saviour. Please pray that God will continue to work in the hearts of all those that attended.

Leadership Conference

Brother Eric Lee, a preacher from my home church, came to St. Lucia in May. He preached a Leadership conference for us. We had several churches participate. It was such a blessing. The main theme of the conference was, “working together”. We had a wonderful time of fellowship and learning.

Tract Distribution
.jpg)

In April we received a container of 2,000,000 gospel tracts. Our original plan was to get just enough tracts for our surrounding area. As time and talk went on it grew into a much larger project. Fellowship Tract League sent 200 boxes of tracts and we are setting up a tract distribution center for the southern Caribbean here is Saint Lucia. Faith, Hope, and Ethan are filing orders and boxing tract to send to Trinidad and Jamaica.

Two flat tires and one van in the ditch
Last Saturday a pastor friend, Chester McDonald, came to our house. When he pulled over to the side of the road he hit the curb and busted his tire. When we found the spare it was bald and had a leaking plug in the side wall. We pumped it up real quick and he decided to make a dash for home. I told him if he needed me for any reason to call.
Sunday morning while I was teaching Sunday School my cell phone rang. It was Chester. He said the tire had blown out again while he was picking up people for church. He said he was calling for my help. WOW! Now what was I supposed to do? I told one young man, Randal, to finish teaching Sunday school, and told Brother Blade to get ready to preach. Then I left the church to go help brother Chester. I picked up Chester, his wife, and their baby off the side of the road and then finished his bus route for him. They only arrived thirty minutes late for their Sunday school. I left their church and rushed back to our church to hear most of the morning message. Brother Blade preached a great message on ways the Devil defeats us. As soon as service was over I took our people home. Before I reached my house Chester called again. His service was finished and they all needed a ride home.
Brother Chester ate lunch with us and then I took him to his van to see if we could get it home. After calling around we found another preacher who would let us borrow his spare tire. On the way back from collecting the spare tire we met another van in a narrow spot on the road. As we passed one another the other van slid into the ditch. It looked rough. We waited by the side of the road until enough men and a truck was there to pull him out. We were just thankful that no one was hurt.
During this time me and Brother Chester had good time talking about the ministry and trying to work together. He invited us to a youth meeting that his church has with another church. Tonight our church, Solid Rock, along with another Missionary and church went to the meeting. We had a great time of fellowship and fun. We even had a little food. I think there were a total of five churches represented there tonight. Please continue to pray for us all here that God will work in our midst.
Thanks for your time and prayers.

Brother Miller

In one of our prayer letters of 2008 we requested for someone to come to St. Lucia for an extended mission trip. Brother Dave Miller is the man that answered the call. Brother Miller flew into St. Lucia on April 14. He has been a great help for us thus far. On April the 15th our container of tracts arrived in St. Lucia. He helped us to unload the container and to organize the 200 boxes of tracts. In the past two weeks. He has been visiting either with us alone five times, ran several errands in town for us, copied lessons for our Bible Institute, and made a couple of repairs around the house. He is staying across the street in a vacant house that is owned by another mission organization. The house does not have hot water, a refrigerator, or a stove. That's almost like being in boot camp. Brother Miller will be staying with us until June the 15th. We praise the Lord for him coming. Keep us all in your prayers.
